The Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for the Reliability of Semiconductor Power Devices (hereinafter referred to as the Engineering Center) is positioned to tackle key technologies in military electronic components, promote military civilian integration, serve private enterprises, and build a platform for industry university research and application development based in Guizhou and radiating throughout the country. Conduct basic research and industrialization promotion around three characteristic research directions: power devices and power integrated circuits, testing and application technology, and electronic materials and processes. The director of the engineering center and technical leaders lead the research and development work of various technical research and development teams. Among team members, professors (researchers) account for 23.1%, and young members under the age of 45 account for 74.4%. The Engineering Center has dispatched more than 10 R&D personnel to renowned academic institutions both domestically and internationally for exchange, visits, and cooperation. We have made significant achievements in areas such as power simulation integrated circuit technology, microwave technology, and electronic functional materials.

The engineering center currently has a laboratory area of 5216.7 square meters, 81 sets of equipment worth over 100000 yuan, with a total value of 41.5 million yuan. During the evaluation period, equipment worth 2002200 yuan was added. The Engineering Center has established an evaluation and assessment system with sound rules and regulations, effective operation and management, and conducive to stimulating the enthusiasm of its members. It has established pilot and industrialization bases, as well as student internship bases, with China Zhenhua Group Yongguang Electronics Co., Ltd., Guizhou Aerospace Measurement and Testing Technology Research Institute, and Guizhou Zhenhua Wind and Solar Semiconductor Co., Ltd.

The Engineering Center has strongly supported the construction of the Double First Class Discipline of Guizhou University's Big Data Discipline Group jointly established by the Ministry and Province, supported the discipline construction of the first level discipline doctoral program in Electronic Science and Technology, supported the approval of Guizhou University's two national first-class undergraduate major construction sites in Electronic Science and Technology and Communication Engineering, and supported the application work for the first level discipline doctoral program in Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering. In the past 5 years, the Engineering Center has trained 21 doctoral and 428 master's students, and sent 5 doctoral students to the United States, Australia, and France for joint training. They have won 40 awards in various competitions such as the Huawei Cup China Graduate Electronic Design Competition and the Zhaoyi Innovation Cup Graduate Electronic Design Competition.

The Engineering Center will combine its own advantages and regional industrial characteristics, and according to the formulated short-term and medium-term task goals and future plans, focus on the bottleneck key technologies in national integrated circuits, and create an engineering center that meets the development needs of national and Guizhou industrial strategies, is more open, and has western characteristics.
